The $35 Aero Lip on Ebay ... opinions on edge please

Hey everyone,

So I've been keeping my eye out for the ebay aero lips people were buying, and they're back... so I decided $35 for the lip and $60 shipped is worth the risk (Planning on using the 90% savings for other mods

) So, I got home today to find that FedEx left me a present. Took 15 mins to unwrap the sucker, and once fully unwrapped I was pleasantly surprised. Quality is .... pretty damn good. damn.

So, I got curious and wanted to see what it looks like on the car. Overall, fitment is pretty good 9.6/10.

These are unpainted straight out of the box.

Before and After shots. Lighting is a lil funny on the top right pic making the right side look shorter.. its not.

Now my only gripe is the edge. OEM doesn't wrap around the bumper whereas the ebay (replica ones) do. It makes it fit like a glove, but I don't like how the edge sticks out. I was thinking of maybe dremeling the edge off... What do you guys think? Just leave it?

Probably better to just leave it. Fitment looks pretty good. Paint $$ sucks.

cut it, sand the edge, paint it and tape it on with extra on the cut edges. will look excellent

I left the wrap around edge on mine as I liked how well it holds the spoiler tight at the ends. On the factory version all that holds the ends is the 3M tape.

In the end it's up to you...

I say leave it. It's just gonna hold it on that much better. Not to mention it wouldn't be worth the time and effort to dremel it off.

Thanks for the responses! After reading your responses and also explaining what I wanted to do to a really good body shop in the chicago area... I've decided to keep the edge. It fits so nice and snug, I don't want to lose that.

Painted costs $100 + other touch ups on the car (I have some rock chips here and there).

People in other posts commented on success with Basonyr

I used doe.industries. 99% positive feedback was very comforting. Interestingly, they ship the same exact way from other posts... makes me wonder.

If the fit is that good honestly just leave it. You would be sooo mad at yourself if you screwed it up now. Looks great for $90. eBay does have some good stuff to offer on occasion.
