suttle squeek...
So last weekend I was picking up this date of mines and I noticed this noise that I thought could be an inidicator of the brakes needing replacement soon. I have under 20k miles on it. Funny thing I was just driving down hill and up hill but I wasn't braking at all. The noise comes and go when I turn or just cruise(25mph or less). While driving, does the car voluntarily function in another feature when in motion? I wasn't in any way driving fast just simple turns at a stop or just up a mild steep hill. Any ideas what that could be? Since this noise comes and go I don't want to take it to the dealer and not be able to reproduce the event. You know the dealers, they don't tell you everything until the warranty is gone...

Check this thread and you will find more information about it.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48702 Trust me, it is VERY annoying and seems to be a fairly common problem. My dealer has done everything from cleaning out the rear drums of the parking brake, cleaning the brake pads, to changing the pads, sensors, and rotors. Each time the problem goes away for a few months and then starts back again. I still wonder if there is a permanent fix to the problem. I have seen complaints from owners of 330's and 335's, so it doesn't seem to be limited to only one of the braking systems.
