EVO Magazine (evo 104 page 056) gave the Hartge Spirit S3-3.5 upgraded E92 335i the full five stars.

360bhp and 328lb ft thanks the an ECU remap (with perhaps more to come).
Reworked suspension - new springs, dampers, anti-roll bars.
Quaife diff.
356mm AP Racing front dics with 6-pot alloy callipers
20" multi-spoke classic rims, P Zero Nero tyres
a discreet carbon chin spoiler and a quartet of polished tailpipes
(otherwise looks like a stock 335i SE, no wild bodykit)

The result is they liked it a lot, but it pushes the price to £50K into M3 territory.

Edit: Conversion cost is £15,890 inc VAT and fitting - presumably Birds can quote for the upgrades seperately.

Edit2: The article doesn't say, but I am guessing this was a manual car - can't believe EVO would give 5 stars to an auto ;-}

A very quick question....

The E92 doesn't have a LSD....

is this the same case for the E90 M Sport (335i) ???

You don't get an LSD in all E90,91,92,93 models, even the M-Sport models, except the up coming M3. BMW has stopped putting LSDs in their non-M cars since the demise of the E36 328 Sport in the 90's.

The E36 328 Sport was a cracking car and I thought ours was easier to drive fast on a daily basis than the M3 that replaced it. It was nice and torquey and I'd forgotten about the LSD. It looked good in Montreal Blue as well.
