Jagua-R!
Had a very exciting day out today looking at cars with my mum, such a pity not for me but shes still trying to talk me out of a Seven
Shes finally settled on buying a beautiful Jaguar XKR, can't wait to have a drive in it and see what I think, it's awfully pretty for a new car (07) and sounds gorgeous but is automatic (they all are I think!) goes a bit too for a very big cat My dad will no doubt go absolutely MAD when he finds out considering she did say she was looking for a "fairly economical GT", 635d was talked about for about 2 minutes but was just far too sensible, apparantely my dad would have thrown a "real temper tantrum" if a car with the letter "M" turned up but a nice, civilised, classy and "middle aged" Jag is OK Don't have the foggest why??

The automatic in a 2007 XKR is a newer ZF version, similar to the ones in the 335D/i.
It is not comparable at all with older slushmatic ones you will have experienced in the cars you like The R vesions are supercharged with close to 400 PS .. it does go. Did you not hear the pronounced supercharger whine ? The light aluminium chassis/body give it a really nimble feeling considering its bulk. D.

Oh I can't wait to have a go will report back
Yes heard the supercharger and know they have big bhp just still surprising something with that much wood and leather moves that quick if you know what I mean I really adore it, think it is the modern take on the E Type (one of my all time favourite cars).

There were two things about the E-type I didn't care for. First, the wings and the front wheels. The wings stuck out much too far; almost lost the wheels inside. The other was on the coupé in profile the bonnet seemed to dip downwards as it approached the windscreen which gave it an unpleasing notch. Coupled with the high roofline it always seemed ready to fold in half. I did, however, like the profile of the cabriolet. The biggest plus I found with it was that the windscreen was more than halfway back from the front bumper -- I like long nosed cars.
I've been over here too long. I'm mislabeling car parts.
