Paintless dent repair is the S***. I cant even believe it
Well after smashing my hood in and thinking i was going to have to get it al repainted, i called the PDR guy and he said there was no way he could fix my hood said it was just too smashed in, I begged him to just try it. I offered to pay him even if he could not get it fixed i just wanted to see if there was a chance he could get it 90% of the way out so i didnt have to paint my car.
He said he would try but no promises. after 4 hours he got it 70% out, he needs to come back next week and pull the hood off to get at it from another angle but he says he thinks he can get it to about 95%. I am so stoked!! no paint for me. This dent was bad! here are the pics BEFORE Getting better!!! |

He said on the phone about 200 bucks, but its taking him twice as long as he thought it would, so im planning on about 300 bucks and a pizza or something
( i own a pizza place) i gave him 100 yesterday as a deposit, and then will sqaure up with him when he gets it done. He was saying if he cant get it to 95% he wont charge me but i did think thats fair, since i had to twist his arm to do it the body shop wanted 5.5 hours to repair the dent so even if it had to get painted it would cut the body shop time down to like 2 hours and that would save the money that i am paying him anyways

That's quite impressive for the severity of that dent! While it's not 100%, that's pretty darn close, and from there, it wouldn't be too difficult to get it back to 100% at a body shop.

Damn that dent is coming out great! Anxious to see the finishing results...
Not to jack your thread.... but... I just got my car not even a fucking month ago and some dick wad decided to slam his car door into my passanger door.... I didn't see it till the next morning when I went to work!! I'm going back to my GFs apartment complex and inspecting every car that has door dings and questioning them.. I just got the damn car and these fucks have the audacity to slam their door into mines and drive off without leaving a note... Fucking pricks... Yes I'm pissed! It dented it straight to the metal... there goes a paint job and dent repair... Time to call my insurance! They just payed me last month for my totaled Jaguar... Sheesh their going to hate me. |

Yup sucks ass...
Is there any chance that it can be brought back to normal? I wouldn't feel the same about the car if you can still some type of visible body damage after they fix it.... It had to happen on the weekend too so that way I have to sit there and look at it for two days lol... I'm so angry I didn't even get to enjoy it before some careless D-Bag banged it up.... Keeping my fingers crossed... |

@620bmw325i
I would just make an insurance claim and have it fixed at the dealer it happened while the car was parked so your premium wont go up. All you'd have to pay is the deductable. |

I had a dent 11 days after getting my STI (didn't even have plates yet), and I got a legit PDR guy and it was like it never happened. As long as you go with a legit (registered and insured business) PDR guy, you can't go wrong, way cheaper than a body shop, plus they come to you.

OP I noticed your in Seattle and I'd LOVE to know the number of the guy you used... I have a dent very similiar to 620BMW325i and just want the dent gone for now and get it painted later. PM his number if you get the chance!
Thanks in advance, Greg
