tire fitment for SDC Forgestars...my brain is hurting

So I'm approximately an eternity into the process after ordering a set of F14s, and they're only this week receiving the materials to build the wheels, calling it 6 more weeks out (because why would a manufacturer stock the raw materials necessary to build their product?), but that's a whole other conversation...

My front wheels are 19x9.5 et30 deep concave
rears are 19x10 et28 super deep concave

I'm going to order 245/35 front And 285/30 rear

Any reason why this shouldn't work? I'm concerned the concavity of the wheel will play some effect in the size tire I can fit. Don't want to have to reorder tires after waiting an eternity on these stupid wheels, and running my winters months longer than necessary.

Thanks for your input!

Oh, E90 on stock m-sport suspension.

I have 9.5et22 245/35/19 and 11 et28 275/30/19. That is with camber and fenderwork.

Your front wheel would probably work as is, because of the higher offset. The rear has no stretch and it won't work even with fenderwork. You should go with the 11" for more stretch and even a narrower tire. IMO just get Coilovers and camberplates and do 10" front 11" rear

Concavity doesn't impact wheel fitment. It would only impact brake clearance if you were running higher offsets that put the spokes near the calipers. I had this issue on my other car and had to run spacers. But fitment is only impacted by offset, width, and tire size.

And it only concers Super deep concave f14. Deep concave has more clearance, since it's less concave, so higher offset works fine.

The thing is with those specs i recommend 235/35/19 and 265/30/19, if you want to have setup that works, but you will still need fender roll to rear since you have lci e90. This is pre-lci and has 19x10 et28 with 265/30/19 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...84&postcount=5 Your wheels will extend 8mm more. As far as front 235/35/19 is safer choice.

Im running 275/35/18 rear, 245/40/18 front for summers. A tiny bit of scrub at full lock up front, but no problem in the rear at all. This is on stock style 195 wheels.

So it's the more aggressive offset of these wheels that you think will require 265? Forgestar is giving a thumbsup on 275

It's the width, offset and tyre size. The new setup rear will extend 28mm more than your current style 195 wheels and 285 or even 275 tyre have zero stretch at 10 wide, so those wont fit without fender modifications and rear camber.

This e90 pre-lci has 19x10 et17 with 275/30/19, fender roll/shaved and camber.http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...08&postcount=6 Since you have lci basically your wheels would retract 3mm compared to that pre-lci.

Even with 265/30/19 you need fender roll and possibly some added negative camber. Not sure about the camber since you might be fine with m-sport suspension, but if you lower it then you need camber. Here is 19x10 et20 pre-lci 265/30/19 fenders rolled and added camber. Your wheel will extend to exact same place.

http://i1142.photobucket.com/albums/...ps95cb8eee.jpg
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=976917

Then the front will extend 23mm more than your current style 195. This one has 19x9.5 et33 with 235/35/19 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...89&postcount=3 not much room. You might get away with 245/35/19 with your m-sport suspension, but 245 isn't exactly good pair for 265 and if you ever lower it you might need some camber to fit the 245 to front.

That is why I said you should go for the wider rear wheel for more stretch 11" et40 is roughly the same fitment as 10"et28 but the tire will stretch more so you will have more clearance.

This would probably be better if you are wanting a somewhat easy fitment. Might look funny at stock height.
9.5et30 235or245/35/19
11et40 275/30/19

Imo you should do sdc on the front too.

Got everything mounted up on Tuesday...

I'm a dummy and ordered 275/35, not 275/30

Have some fender work that needs done before they'll work, for sure. It'll be tight.

How are the 19x9.5 et30 on 245/35/19s up front? Would love to see a picture of how the tires fit on that rim and how it fits in the wheel well. I have the same suspension and would love to go just a hair wider than 235s for more wheel protection/contact patch.

Do you also mind saying what tires you went with? Maybe I can get away with the 235 stretch if they are fat tires like RS3 or Z2SS.

Man I ordered 235s per forgestar's suggestion. Regretting it big time. So much stretch. Extremecontact DW.

I should have ordered 245/35. And I'm good with the 275, but wish I would have gone 275/30 and not 275/35. There's no lowering it now, but with 245/40 like I had before, it would be a little rub at full lock, but they'd fill the wheel well perfectly without modifying suspension

Long story short...I think I'll sell my fronts and grab 245/40. I'll post a pic when I get in front of the computer.

Edit...scratch that, 245/35/19 is the same diameter as the 245/40/18 I ran previously

Got the lip of the fender outside of the tire tread, managed to get a good roll with no paint paint cracking. Still need to go at it a little harder. Getting into the side wall on the driver side, and still a little into the tread on the passenger side. I think of I shave the pinch seams at the rear bumper and back of the fender it will be a lot better. Bumps, dips, and corners all rub pretty substantially, but nothing getting hurt anyway.

I think I'd be square on 265s as is...oh well.

Pics...car is still filthy, need to get a wash on it badly, but two little kiddos under 2 years = minimal time to do anything!

Alright, got it cleaned up a bit...if only for posterity's sake, here's a couple more pics. Going to throw the camber a little negative and hope that will help the rubbing for now. Going to need to tear into the fenders a little heavier later.

Here is one example of 19x9.5 et35 or 33 and 245/35/19 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...5&postcount=23
