Vorsteiner E90 Hood Install Help

For those of you that have installed this hood before I have a few questions. I have a single sided CF hood.

I had no issues transferring over all of the hardware and putting the hood on however I ran into an issue when trying to install a M3 Hood shock. There seems to be a mark where the shock would fit, but there isn't. Am I supposed to drill a hole for the stud from the OEM hood? If I did that wouldn't it just spin around with nothing to hold the stud?

Also for the Hood Roundel did anyone just drill the holes for it to fit or did your hoods come pre-drilled? Or did you cut off the pegs and just glue it on or something?

Thanks

you don't use the shocks for the VRS hood. It's a bit too strong and will crack the hood. I have mine just unbolted.

As for the roundels, i'd be wary of drilling it as it could crack as well. I'd dremel down the the nipples on the roundel and betlink or double side tape it down.

Mine are drilled but it came like that.

i see you're trying to use an m3 shock, but imo i would still be very very cautious...

personally i would just leave the shocks off just in case.

Thanks for the help Andrew, I'm not sure why my hood did not come with the Roundel holes pre-drilled, but I will take your advice and will dremel the tabs off
