How can I tell if my car has an oil cooler? 2008 BMW 335XI....

I am trying to figure out if my car has an oil cooler on it. I have not been able to find out what I need to look for to find out. My last 7 of vin is A283614 if that helps lol. Can anyone point me to a DIY for a decent (not crazy expensive) good oil cooler for the car after I find out if it has one or not. Also one big thing that i heard on a youtube video is if it does not have an oil cooler you have to upgrade the OIL PUMP??!?!?!? So far I have not had any overheating issues with the oil but I have only opened it up for about a 3 mile back road vacant road on the twists and today I get my JB4 in the mail and soon a DCI so yeah.... not sure if its going to be an issue or not. The hottest I have seen is maybe 240 degrees so far but I am 100% stock atm. Any information on this would be wonderful. Btw love this car compared to the infiniti g35x HR even tho the infiniti had the better technology (The BMW has a better overall feel to the car).
Thanks

I do not believe that you do as you don't gave the 840 option.

Best way is to look at your oil filter housing or inside of passanger wheel well.

Regarding the Oil Pump I have never heard that - I'm FBO without an Oil Cooler and have had no issues.

240 is right around average for oil temps on this car.

Please excuse me if this is wrong, I'm still new to the platform and I'm trying to be helpful, but I'm 90% sure that this thing I have outlined in red with my awesome mspaint skills, is the oil cooler pump assembly (which you will need in addition to any aftermarket oil cooler solution). If you have this and the piping, you have a stock oil cooler. I have an 08 XI and I definitely have it (the thing I circled).

I welcome an immediate correction if I'm mistaken...

Thank you anyone know where I can find a DIY on a oil cooler setup for a reasonable price in case I do have problems?

Yea def do not have that that means I would have to buy that part to attach the oil cooler lines to it too what do those go for and what are they even called?

You'll want to talk to these guys...(I believe the late model adaptation kit for 425 bucks is the pump and stuff, but not sure)

By the way, I don't mean to be an ass, and you are in no way obliged to do this, but when people get pics and links for you, it's customary to hit the 'Appreciate' button under the post. When you rep, you often get repped back!

This is a great picture of the oil filter housing for reference.
