Air cleaner replacement on 2008 320xi

Hello

I pressed something on the iDrive screen and got an email from BMWTeleservice telling me that I need to schedule a service appointment for

- Engine Oil
- Air Cleaner

So I called BMW and they told me that it's ~$80 for oil change, and about ~$150 for the Air Cleaner replacement ..

The Air Cleaner is the air intake filter, not the cabin micro filter, is that correct?

I'm thinking about changing the Air Cleaner myself and if I'm correct, I can follow the DYI here:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ght=air+filter

It doesn't seem so hard, and will probably save me some money.

My question is do I have to reset any sensor when I change the air cleaner? or that's just for the cabin air filter

Any help is appreciated

Thanks
