Exclamation JB4 / Speed delimiter / Cruise Control Errors

I was curious if anyone with a JB4 and or speed delimiter from burgertuning has had any problems with their cruise control?!?

At high speeds my cruise control works fine, but at slower speeds (particularly 46MPH) the cruise control kicks off and tells me that it has been disabled. After that it wont allow me to reactivate it until the clutch has been depressed. The traction control is fully enabled and there are no error codes indicating there is a problem. Has anyone else seen this?

Did you do anything to fix it? or it just went away by its self. its really getting annoying

did you have both the JB4 and delimiter or just the JB4?

Just the jb4. It happened once on the highway, but as soon as I restarted the car it was fine. Never came back again.

This problem isn't limited to the JB4. Myself and others have had this issue. Currently no one has a solution. You can check out the other thread here:

So in case anyone reads this thread, i figured out what the problem was. It was actually the speed delimiter from burger tuning. For some reason at 46MPH it would always kick off and not engage until you stepped on the clutch... Once i removed the delimiter the problem never happened again. Small price to pay for doing 170 mph!

Any of the recent maps (since May onwards I believe) should not have this issue. It was a roadspeed bug that was introduced early this year when we revised all our crank signal processing code. Took a while to track down but it's gone.

Happens to me sometimes too with the BMS SLD installed, but I just do as they mention in the other thread, change gears and it'll engage again. Doesn't happen too often, it's annoying when it does, but I wouldn't take the BMS SLD out because of it

The issue didnt seem to be with the jb4 tuning just the sld itself. Once i took it out it went away. This wasn't an occasional problem for me. It would consistently fail at 46 mph which was extremely annoying. I have just decided to put in the sld if I go to the tract.

Hmm, that's interesting, I think mine failed 3 times in a row, right around the same speed the other day. I will have to see, but as far as I can remember, I've had it fail at different speeds before, usually I mainly use the cruise control around 65-85 mph

Mine seemed to work fine at all other speeds other than 43-49 MPH. at the 46 mark it would fail within 5-10 seconds. Of course the annoying part is that you need to shift before it will let you turn it on again. The surface streets here are 45mph so when i was using the CC any variation (causing the speed to hit 46, even for a moment) caused the failure. Took the SLD out and not a problem for months now...
