Switching between race pads and stock pads

Going to purchase either Endless or Pagid race pads but just want to use them on track. Is it bad for stock rotors to keep switching from race to stock pads???

As long as you do a good bed in after swapping you will be fine.

+1. I used Hawk HT-10's for the track and OEM pads for the street. No problems at all.

With that being said, next season I'm going to use a dedicated pad/rotor setup for the track and one for the street.

If you're willing to change to track pads the night before and change back to streets before you drive home, it'll be easier.

You're essentially allowing the new pad sufficient time to scrape off the other pad's material on the rotor (you may have vibration changing from track to street, it'll go away), doesn't work well with all pad combinations but these have worked well for me:

OEM to PFC01 and back
HPS to PFC01 and back
HPS to DCT70 and back

And that's assuming you bed in the track pads correctly

I use the HPS to PFC01 combo. Works well for me.

You must properly bed in each pad after the swap.
