Full course is worth it, I think I posted a vid last year. It's a very different experience than any other road course in the area. You're at max speed for most of the course, you're planning your passes over long distances, negotiating steep banked turns, fun stuff. And oh yeah, it rains there 50% of the time.

The rest of the Pocono configurations are not worth it, or at least nothing that does not include 2 connected straights (no straight-infield-straight)

Decision time...Bring the X1 to the track and ditch the oil-spewing all-season-tire P-car with the one bad shock.

There's at least one BMW chapter in the area that allows X-cars on the track, I know because I've sworn to never run with them again because of this.

That sucks man, trade in the X1 and get a 128i

Going through old vids and forgot about this guy. He was riding me hard so I gave the point and 5 seconds later...

classic newbie mistake. He had a long time to correct his bad turn-in but still kept on going obliviously instead.

Hope you guys have a good time at LRP this weekend.

I came across a vendor at another site(porsche site) that is having a sale on PFC pads until April 2. I got a quote and it's $50 (front+rear) less than the best pricing I have seen for e9X m3 PFC08s. PM me if you want more info. Not sure if I can post it here.

Thanks bro. You should check with OGracing, they really have awesome prices and anything over $100 is free. I've gotten my last 3 set of brake pads from there. Just find out what pad shape you need and put "PFC 08" and pad number in the search field.

And oh yea, sh*t just got real. CJ isn't the only one who's got tax money to blow on unnecessary mods!

thanks. OG racing prices are still $ 45 more than the sale.

The question is it the stoptechs or the wheels and tires?

Wheels n stoptech.

I had concave apex arc8's but they wouldn't clear a bbk so sold those, picked up brakes used and bought TRM mt1-r's for cheap. Not as pretty as arc8's but everything fits and works perfectly...

Got to bed them in earlier today, I'm not going to lie. I know the calipers don't make a difference but I will say I noticed a difference in stopping after pads reached temps. I attribute that all to increased rotor size, going from 325x25 to 332x32.

CJ - I can't take pics for sh*t. Next track event you're going to take 5 good shots of my car, in exchange I will give you ONE point bye.

Peter - I'll see you tomorrow buddy!

sorry, no vids. first 2 sessions i asked for an instructor just to learn the line. 3rd session i had my lap timer on but no vid, and 4th session when i finally turned on vid, it didn't work lol. but i will say lrp is definitely one of my new favorite tracks and the fact that it's only 2hrs away makes it a huge plus. i'll be going back for sure... bye bye njmp!

I don't know about that. LRP is nice to visit once a year, same with SP, but it's definitely not a replacement for NJMP or WGI. The course is nice and short, you need to be precise to make any meaningful time improvement but that's about it.

I make a point of visiting all of these at least once a year, hoping to add a track or 2 to the list soon.

In all seriousness, don't view LRP as a replacement for NJMP but I will say even the drive up/down is enjoyable with no traffic. It's just a chill place and nice to hang out on the grassy hills or what not. But sub-2hrs trip is awesome...
