Combox Media Retrofit Question

Any idea why after performing the combox retrofit, why I would not have bluetooth music streaming and the only thing in office is contacts. I checked this with both android and iphone ios6. I did not do 6NR, just combox media. Which wire in the combox pinout would carry the bluetooth signal?

I do have the option to check music and pictures under the bluetooth menu and the phone will think it is playing music through the car, but the car doesn't play the phones music.

Thanks for the help!

Your problem is one of coding. Bluetooth is wireless.

If it was coding I wouldn't think I would have the option of audio under the Bluetooth menu for my phone. I realize it is wireless but the mulf2 used to handle Bluetooth but now the combox does right?

I'd say you need to do 3 things:

- update your vehicle's software
- update CIC's software
- do proper coding

Thanks,

Kate.

I just needed to update to the latest bluetooth software. I had done UPD01004.bin already, but saw UPD01005.bin today. After doing that I am getting text in my idrive. I got bluetooth music to play by going under external devices rather than bluetooth from the multimedia menu. Glad all is working now!

As you just found out, coding is also updating software.
