Dyno Run

Hey

so today there was a bmw club dyno day event which i attended
got the car back earlier this wednesday after i had got them to run a smoke test to see if i was leaking anywhere after the vishnu tuning team had highlighted there was a issue from the logs i had provided

I had hoped to of gotten a response before saturday about the analysis of the new logs and my custom map - but it didn't happen

thanks to wedge i got a minor tweaked map of OFT Stage1 map and ran that on the dyno

here is the dyno sheet:

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/534/azjf.jpg/

And here are the logs generated when they did the dyno (OFT logging)

http://www.datazap.me/u/jake1829/dyno-run?1-3-4

Still looks like i am not hitting boost targets - and do i have a issue with timming?

thanks

Loaded up the stage2 beta map and pulled some logs

http://www.datazap.me/u/jake1829/sta...ap-pulls?1-3-4

I tried resetting some of the adaptions via the tablet - eg throttle etc and it all came up with failed status - anyone else got the same issue since the upgrade firmware was loaded (1st issue was no logging menu which got sorted via a update)

i was told that i should reset my adaptations when i change maps , and i couldn't do that via the tablet tonight when i tried

I am enjoying stage 2 maps, feels a lot quicker
need to go for a long drive tomorrow to get a good feel about the beta map

If you are getting a failed message you either have the procede or jb hooked up and it is interfering with the flash protocols, or you have the engine running when you are trying to reset adaptations. Make sure the car is on, but the engine is off when you reset the adaptations.

if you have access to e85 you should really give shivs new e40 map a shot! With the mods you have listed n your sig i would expect higher numbers than 355whp. i have fmic, dci and dps and with the oft e40 map i made 420whp.

For pump gas runs, yes they look good. No timing drops and boost looks smooth.

That's actually pretty normal. There is not that much smoothing in that graph but the reality is it only varies a few 1/10ths.

There is a fuel station that sells e85, bit of a trek to get (around 50km away)
Def keen to try it out ,
the 355whp was on a stage1 map that was tweaked(minor) by wedge
Not sure what the stage2 beta map is putting out in rwhp ( wtb virtual dyno working with oft logs )

Ok thanks , still trying to figure out what is optimal for each
I see that the boost actual is lower then what is being asked at higher rpm - is that normal?

Only have a OFT - pretty sure when I tried , engine was off - will try again and see if works
