Here is the link to the BMW I will be buying. There is a picture of the nav welcome screen. Can someone look at it and let me know if this is what the updated software version looks like? or does it need to be updated? Thanks

That would be up to your local dealer,

I don't think they will update it just "coz"
there would have to be a problem with it for them to justify it from what Ive been told,

I had mine updated last week, But mine was very slow and it crashed a few times so when the car was in for its oil change I asked them about it and they said they will update it free

alright I guess once I pick it up, I'll see if I notice any problems like lagging and such. If its fine, thats cool too. It'd be nice to have it updated tho

quick question,
The 2006 325i has 55k miles on it, so its out of factory warranty, but under CPO warranty. Would the navi update be covered under this warranty if I tell them I have a "problem" with it? Like lagging, or no mp3 playback.. Or am I going to have to pay for the update out of pocket?

Electronics aren´t covered at all by CPO. You´re on your own. FYI, if the iDrive fails, it´s $2500 plus.
