Crevier BMW, they can shove it!!

Well guys, my 2008 E92 is officially been blacklisted for warranty. The car has 2200 miles on it, and has horrid gas mileage from day one 13mpg approx. Got a SSTT in the hopes that it would help out, but after the car went in to CREVIER BMW, the service writer knew the car was modded, and was cool with it, and during the process NEVER told me the factory rep was going to inspect my car, well guess what?? The rep came, saw the car and VOIDED my factory warranty!! The service writers name is TODD at Crevier, anyone who has a modded car STAY AWAY FROM CREVIER!!!

This is my last BMW (and to think I was getting my wife a E90, and one of my best friends a E92 M3, well fuck that, we're NOT going to do that anymore)

Rule number 1, take the tune out whether your dealer is cool with it or not. Really sorry about your luck though. I dont know if i'd give up BMW altogether, especially since an M3 wouldn't require any work. As someone who would never buy a bmw other than this one, I can see why you'd be in the whole "done with BMW" mindset. Keep us posted on what you choose to do next.

Just out of curiosity, what does "modded" entail? (i.e. ecu?)

can't say we didn't tell you so... sorry about your misfortune, but instead of flipping out, there are ways you can fight that.... First of all, they have to prove that whatever you did is what caused the "warranty fix" such as if your engine was showing lower gas milage, they have to prove that the SSTT is what caused the poor gas milage, and if so, they will only void your engine warranty. In other words, you will still have the right to your powertrain warranty etc etc... Have you tried another dealership?

LOL blaming it on crevier? u should be kicking yourself in the nuts, not blaming it on TODD or anyone else.

you took it in for gas mileage, im damn sure they gonna take a look where your chip is man!

it's not BMW's fault that you left your shit in there man, u shoulda known better man. if you took a modded Evo to Mitsu they would have done the same, what u expecting?

the turbo tuner isnt even an ecu tune, its basically like a manual boost controller, all it does is increase the psi... thing that should be voided is your turbo warranty not your engine as a whole... I would go ape shit on them if they ever blacklisted my car.. the rep. would have a black eye.

if one dealership voids warranty can't you just go to another dealer stock or does the report get saved on the vin so when another dealer checks the car it says warranty void?

What does that have to do with BMW? You modified their car, they have service rules, you voided them, and thats your fault. Not only that, but this is between you and Crevier, not BMW.

Also, most people that have the money to buy their friends e92 M3's (as you claim) probably wouldn't use "well fuck that" in their reasoning, or in their sentences. . .

Why the heck would you even leave the Turbo Tuner in the car? It's soooooo easy to remove. Maybe I would understand if you have a more complex "tune", but a god damn Turbo Tuner? It literally takes 30 sec to remove it.

+1

NO car dealers are going to be cool with keeping warranties when you're messing with their stuff.

Isint the beauty of the Turbotuner the ease of install and uninstall. Its a true plug and play tune. You should have just taken it out.

Most people, the general majority at least, who have that sort of financial soundness. . . are probably a bit in the older crowd. And I dont know too many old and successful guys who would write like, talk like, or reason like the OP (no offense). Sure theres always Richard Branson style wealthy old people (owner of Virgin Atlantic who is immature and gaudy), but the majority are well aged

But I still f**king love you Nabilly
