Helix or ETS, AMS looks good but it needs modding to fit it.

yes helix does require slight modding but like stated above, any of the mentioned units here will outperform the stock IC. I made a decision on helix as it had good value for performance

depends... if you are 09 LCI then you need to come up with piping from a PRE-LCI model which is $$ on top of what you have to already pay (thats if you can FIND someone who is willing to sell)... therefore i was left with no choice but to purchase the ETS which comes with the cold side charge pipe... PLUS there is -0- cutting necessary (uber pumped about that )... for the price i dont think you can beat it... i dont plan on tracking the car like a mad man, and mostly on highway drives anyways so
anything>stock

I want the VK one because its a DIRECT FITMENT without modifications, I just wish it was a little more refined, hopefully by the 4th batch they will have it perfected with better internal core and maybe a little wider and taller FMIC....I love the fact of no cutting whatsover...

****Active Autowerke Front Mount Intercooler***
Hello Forum Members! Happy Holidays!!
Thank you for the positive feedback!! The Active Autowerke Front Mount Intercooler is one of the largest Intercoolers out there for the 335i. Factory intercoolers work well on factory 335i’s, but with added boost comes added heat load. To overcome this, Active Autowerke’s unit stands tall and way up front, catching more air with the help an 88% larger core and a specially designed shroud. Our tests show an air temp drop of close to 30° F in the intake manifold, with a gain of 12 usable rear wheel HP on a Mustang MD250 dynamometer. btw: the ambient temperature in our shop measured a scorching 92°F during the session. This thing works. PM for Special E90Post Pricing !! Last edited by ryan@ActiveAutowerke; 12-24-2009 at 08:50 AM.. Reason: Typo |

If no cutting and price is priority then ETS. Forge is another great option but rather expensive.
