H11 55W as Angel eyes

Ok, Ive spend 2 long weeks looking for the best Angel eye solutions for the E93/92, Ive found h8 Lux V3 to be the best logical option in UK, OSS is really the best...but removing the headlight is a PITA. h8 Lux V3 are not in stock, I was considering Stocking it for UK users incase anyone is interested, and if LUX can supply me that many. However in the meantime I found an alternative solution, which I am not too sure off, Ive read variety of views that is....H11 55W used as Angel eyes on the E92/93 Versions...Has anyone tried this without an error?

Logically as an engineer Id guess, 55W may damage the housing and the module controlling the lights may also get affected I dont know....

Ive heard it burns the rings, One person said it burn the FRM module out, many say it throws errors, Im a bit lost...

Anyone with any experience like to share?

55w will definitely have heat issues. All LED units are improperly fitted with heatsinks.....they are too small.

I've seen my weisslicht fail (same as generic 6W led units except marked up) and LUX fail because of heat issues.

All the 6W units I've seen have had the chrome tip distort because of heat.

However, in order to keep an OEM look, you need to make the heatsink small. Especially on the E90s because they have a little box cover.

How do you plan on using an H11 bulb for a housing that requires H8?

LUX H8 should be available again soon, hold out, they're worth it

H8 and H11 are the same, one tab is slightly different on the H11 and can be trimmed to make it fit just fine.

I wouldn't personally do it, I think you may melt the housing and that is an expensive screw up!

LUX V3's are worth the wait!

Do not put a 55 watt bulb in your angel eyes, you will run into major problems
