Anyone know for sure if the Hotchkis sway bars will work on a 2006 325i, non-sport but with aftermarket coilovers?
http://www.hotchkis.net/bmw_e90_e92_...sway_bars.html I know Hotchkis advertise as 2007/09 and 330/335's, but other kits I see advertise as if fitment is for all e90 sedans except XI as being the same. Edit: Found Hothkis Application guide http://www.lpiracing.com/Store_Links..._App_Guide.pdf Going by part numbers, the one needed for a 2006 325i is a completely different part number and strangely even Hotchkisses own site does not list it, but some online stores do. exactly... in the past there was only one Swaybar for all the suspensions. Could be they introduced something new with the 2010 model as they also changed the suspension itself. But from cost perspective I would not expect them to create an additional variant. We really need an update catalogue! |

I've got the 14 mm rear sway with zsp springs and koni dampers. Hard to tell a difference w/the rear sway. I just had it installed at the same time as the m3 rear subframe bushings otherwise I wouldn't bother. If I could do it again, I'd have gone w/the 15mm. Depends mostly on if you're running a square or staggered wheelset

15mm rear sway
staggered
will upgrade the rear bushing and upper and lower bars to m3 (+m3 front control arms) so i was thinking 15 mm myself also getting the bmw perf suspension that includes the front bar. just revamping my whole suspension. that gives me a 90/10 or so bias vs 93/7 stock. Quote:

Im confused because from what I read i thought the euro model m-sport has the performance package as standard which was an upgrade for the us models. But my car doesnt even have the m-sport spring. Shock is totally shot and bumpstops rotted away so seems unlikely it was swapped out early. If they did wtf did they downgrade for? The spring itself is D4 which is m-sport. Edit nevermind i cant read for shit. Last edited by jin; 08-05-2015 at 05:53 PM.. |
