that's neat!

What year is your car, and are you the original owner?

I ask because I am constantly marking up my car indicating when I've performed certain jobs.

My car is a 2011 and the date from the vin shows it was produced on October 6th, 2010. That explains the 05/10/10. I’m the 3rd owner on the car and it came from the South African plant.

What on earth do production papers look like and how do they end up under the seats?

Remembering a bit harder now, I think it was a sheet with the color of the leather interior.
Probably put over the fuel tank to make sure the right interior was added? Not sure.
I should’ve kept that sheet.

Build sheets under the rear seat were a classic thing for American cars well through the 70s and perhaps even to today. I have some from my parents' cars from the 60s and 70s.

I have no idea if they were used on BMWs of more recent vintage. I've never checked. :-)

I am sure of it that I’ve found 1-2 of those sheets under some of my e9x rear seats. Must’ve slipped through the assembly line.
