E92 325D price
Hi, I am potentially buying a 325D M sport coupe with fsh, sat nav, bluetooth, 112k miles, 1 owner, leathers for £10k
Is this a good price? .. I guess it's a lot of money so need some reassurance edit: it's on an 08, 2008 plate Last edited by raymsport; 04-22-2012 at 04:20 AM.. |

It's probably about right for the mileage. I'd research common faults with the car and see what needs replacing when it gets to that sort of mileage. I'd then have a read through the service history, check what's been done and look for any bills for non-service parts that have been replaced.
It would have to be mint for me to get that, as it's not a car you'll find easy to sell on and therefore one you'll have to keep. |

No I meant with that mileage it will be hard to sell on. Hence the big discount your getting. An '08 AUC 325D with average mileage (say 40k) would probably go for £18-20k at a rough guess.

But it's a diesel not petrol......
I am looking at autotrader and struggling to find anything near in terms of price and spec You said I would be looking at keeping.. so struggling to sell? Petrol and diesel markets are different? I can find a 325i petrol with 100k at £8k or one with average miles at ~£10k One with average miles of 50k for a 325d is circa 16,500 Its a BIG price to pay with double the miles for £6,500 less Check the difference between a 325d and 325i in terms of economy, tax and performance.. I am simply trying to understand the market... The add ons alone are blue tooth, sat nav, fridge thing for a can, iphone cradle, reverse dimming side view mirror thingy, etc etc.. If the 325d is a bad seller then I will move on But atm for 10kthe only think I can find for an e92 with sat nav is a 320i with 80k miles! |

Don't think anyone is suggesting the 325d is a difficult car to sell, but you may struggle to sell on if the mileage increases lots further under your ownership.

So long as you intend on long term ownership. Its not the most popular varient, so you may get stuck with it, as others have suggested. Decent price, if you like it then buy it IMO. Steve.

Whilst I appreciate that the 325d is a smooth 6 cyl, if I was spending 10k, I'd be trying to get something with less miles... Have you tried/considered a 320d? It isnt appreciably any slower and has the benefit of far higher mpg.
