Port Injection would be a go on my Mazdaspeed 3 except I've been waiting on ethanol rated fuel line to come in which has been on back order the past two weeks. I ordered a new tig and parts to do an easy pre-tb injector setup on the 335i. The initial setup im going to put together for the 335i is going to use a single Bosch 2200cc/min high impedence injector pre-tb.

You not worried about a flash back past the throttle body I know it happens with no2 a lot but don't know about gas I would think it be safer if it was on the intake runner

Sure, running an inector on each runner and running pro efi would be the optimal way to do this but I dont want to make an intake manifold for this car. I know this will work bc it works on other cars and its easy to put together. I would much rather run this instead of meth.

That's going to be a lot of coin the 128 box retails for about 2k; harness and sensors will probably be another 2k. Not to mention if your going full PI; you still need to upgrade the entire fuel system which is probably 2.5k on parts alone. This is just a more viable option than meth in my opinion. As with an extra 2200cc injector you can run more e85 and not have to worry about a method pump failure;etc.

The new sedan has big plans. I just swapped the rear end out from a 3.08 open diff to a 3.46 final drive with Quaife. The final drive made the world of a difference. The 6mt gearing is actually more aggressive (slightly) than the auto gears so with the 3.46 final drive my gearing is slightly more aggressive than the auto. I just got the car and have been waiting for my admissions notice so that I can put all the parts sitting at the shop on. I will be shooting for mid 11s full weight on Hoosiers and 11.7-11.8 on street tires full weight. My local customers 135i that I street tuned went 11.76 @ 120.7 on street tires and I plan on getting close to it with all the extra weight my sedan has compared to the the 135i (still on street tires). When you are ready for a tune or some help with mods shoot me a message JHERSHORIN@PROTUNINGFREAKS.COM |
