you also said you can pick up your car there after doing all the track stuff, is this like euro delivery where you save money from not having the car shipped to a dealership (obviously not as much as ED because of overseas shipping)?

It is a GREAT time.

Cost is "free" - (well, you have to buy a car!!!) You just have to pay transportation there, and then pay for gas to get back to where you live.

No, you do not save any $$ on a PCD - you negotiate your price with your dealer, then tell them that you want to do a PCD. However, if you are buying one off the lot at your local dealership, I think you are out of luck - I do not think they will ship it back there.

I can not understand why more people do not take advantage of this!

Yea, drive your new car back - how bad is that? I was like

Other points: I live in PA, and I know of only one other person that has taken delivery there that is in a 100 mile radius of me. And I am not that far - I think it was 600 - 700 miles for me. My dealership said they only do 8-10 a year. I thought many more would do it then that!

There was one person in my group that was from Oregon when I did my pickup.... when you are talking > 1000 miles, I can understand it.

awesome! so you can do performance center "delivery" without actually having to get your car there right?

I think I'm going to do this and just have my new car sent to my home dealer.

No, I do not think that is correct. I think that you have to take delivery there.

Again, Thank You guys!!!! I was sooo shocked to come home from work and see my thread on the FRONT PAGE!! I feel so special now

If you read up about the PCD on bmwusa.com you can find out all the details. I highly recommended it to everybody, no matter the distance. It is probably one of the most fun things I have ever done.

That is active cruise, radar based cruise control. Night vision is not available on the 3 series.

Try 2000 miles for me. Luckily I didnt take delivery of a car this time. I definitely will next time.

You can arrange with the Performance Center to have your car delivered to your dealership, but it is at your cost.

Performance Center Delivery is completely free, except your transportation costs.

It would be worth it. Such a great experience. If I did actually drive home, it would have been a 2000 mile drive for me.
