50 degrees and misty, track was slick. This is with the 5hz DualGPS upgrade so the speeds as you can see are much more accurate than with the iPhone internal GPS.

Time of 2:30something right? lightly modded to stock E92 M3s look to be 1:45-1:53. Are you still running stage 1?

This is MSR Cresson (South of Fort Worth) not MSR Houston. Your times sound correct for MSR Houston.

My bad, you're right. Looks like you ran a 2:37. Stock E92 M3 dcts look to be around 2:39. Are you running stage 2+ aggressive or a race map?

Running a custom map based on stage 2+; I pulled out midrange timing and load target before 4500rpm and ramped the LT up to 190 at 5000 and then tapering off after 6000.

There were very few places I really got to run the throttle though, this track is very tight and technical as you can see.

And it was wet... the times aren't directly comparable.. I think I could run a 2:28-2:29 in the dry based on my split times.

Good times no doubt. I just like to use the E90 M3s to gauge my speed and progress.

Really nice lines... I should probably check to see if you have an LSD and I probably couldn't tell, but looks like you could rotate the car a little more around corners. Can't really tell from that camera angle but great driving!

EDIT: see you have an OS. Good shit!

Was lacking grip due to the mist.. car was understeering pretty steadily... the Giken did a great job putting the power down, the rear end was very planted. Even driving semi-aggressively it stayed planted.

I got the flu on Saturday and couldn't drive Sunday when it was 65 and sunny... !@&(!@#&

Might be making the 3/23 event at the same track, will do some more work on the car setup.

Btw, NICE F'ING driving! You never posted about this, but you sure as heck backed up your words (2:30.4):

That's pretty amazing cuz I also ran across this guy who was running an E90 M3 21st april with the following in the advanced group his time (2:28-2:30): Akra Evo / MS stage 2 / MS UDP / VF Tune / KW S/O springs / Vorshlag plates / ST 380/355 BBK / ST SR34 pads / Apex Arc-8 / Nitto NT01 / Schroth Rallye 3

his thread:

Again, nice job. I know you hate me, but you gotta give credit where credit is due. It's been my goal to meet or beat My buddie's E90 M3 DCT with the exact same typical set up as this guy. I've been on NT05s which was a mistake, and now I'm switching to PSCs. But your run here just gave me the faith I've been looking for.

kind of off topic and im sorry but i have a couple quick questions. I'm here stationed at fort hood and have taken my bike to cresson a couple times and id like to take my '07 335 dd there just to try out som track days with the car.
My questions are; what group do you track with and how do i get involved?
secondly, what would i have to do to my car to track it as it is bone stock?

not a newb to tracks on a bike but completely clueless to anything cars on the track, thank you so much for your time and patience and help. also im sorry if this has come up in other topics, im currently in the middle of the cali high desert in a tent for some BS training and its not working to well to search and what not

I run with the Apex Driving Academy, The Drivers Edge, Texas World Speedway's Performance Driving School, and several others. Just find the websites and sign up. Nothing more fancy required.

As far as the car goes, I'd probably bleed the brakes, change the oil, make sure you have good tires, then just come and run and it and see how much fun you have, and deal with problems as they crop up.
