Quite interesting:
I've taken an example of the 335d.... It shows - i. SE vs M Sport numbers ii. how they were massively popular initially, peaking in 2007, then tailed off (this applies to many cars - check out CLK 55 for initial demand in 2003, then much lower sales) If you look at others, e.g. 330d, it becomes confusing as many must be misregistered against the exact model due to the confusing names of similar models. "330d Authorities" are I assume all Police 330d. So, these numbers are far from hard facts/concrete, but you can see some trends, and get a feel for the scale of sales. http://howmanyleft.co.uk/?q=335d
