last night while driving i was listening to a MP3 CD and suddently the whole head unit went off and came back on again and started off with a different track. what the hell happened?

the CD has been listened quite a lot of times already and this is the first time this happened. hope it's nothing critical

I'm pretty sure that has nothing to do with the CD at all. The head unit shouldn't go off and on. Loose connection perhaps? If it happens again, go to the dealer.

i was thinking of that too, because it didn't go off immediately. the sound went off and then from the list display to track display then it went completely off (not even showing the time when you switch it off normally) and the time came on then the music and everything came back on.

i had my unit replaced over the summer.......it won't take the cd at all.

dealer claimed to have found coins in the unit......must have been the kids?
