yeah, anybody can sign somebodys signature on a package, it's theft for sure. it's the process of verifying if the guy actually signed his own name, but how could we tell that? dont worry op, in the end its going to be the postal peoples problem.

Someone's name and address are private info?

Lot of info can be found simply by using someone's email address.

Heck, I'm sure someone could trace the IP address of the user (legally), find the address etc.

I didn't think it was illegal to post a name and address

Lol no. Truth is a total defense to defamation of character charge. What personal damages? Google earth images are public domain. Your friends must be plaintiffs attorneys.
