I came close to selling my car before starting to modify it. I started off with basic bolt ons, upgrading the intercooler and changing the downpipe. I started off with a cobb tune and then tried the jb4 and now I have an MHD tune. Then I got the idea of adding a methanol injection kit. Some of the highest quality kits with built-in safety systems are made by Aquamist. So I ordered and HFS4 kit directly from the factory in the UK. It cost almost $1000 and I waited one month for it to arrive. Now one year later and two installers later and $2500 later the kid still does not work correctly. He flow sensor has leaked since initial installation and I get persistent misfires in cylinders three and four when I have the kit turned on. I was initially fascinated by the idea of methanol injection but needless to say this is by far the worst decision I've made in modifying the car. I would seriously caution anyone from installing a meth kit. By far the best decision was getting a custom MHD tune. I had contacted MHD in Berlin and asked them who they suggest for a custom tune. I highly suggest a custom tune, dollar for dollar it's one of the best decisions that you can make.

Both VRSF: 7" intercooler and 3.5" DP, you can find used ones on here very easily. They great used items to bolt on.

What kind of tests did you do in detail for them to provide you with an e tune?

I just pulled the trigger on the vrsf dp yesterday, ill be holding off on the fmic until I get bigger turbos I guess

I went with a Dinan tune when it was 50% off and I don't regret it

People talk trash about Dinan, but you're paying for the reliability and aftermarket support, and they definitely deliver both. I'm willing to pay for that for my DD.

They'll ask you to send them recordings of your engine parameters. You check off the requested boxes and send them the data. It's fairly straightforward. I should have just done a custom tune instead of using the OTS maps first.
