Sizing help for E92 328Xi for 18" fitment?

After bending 3 rims in 1 month I'm looking for an 18" upgrade to my 17" 185's and throwing away my run flats. I'm skeptical of a 19" upgrade because of the ridiculous roads in nyc suburbia.. What would be the right wheel and tire combination on 18's? I'm really liking CSL reps or maybe Breyton Race GTS.
Any help is appreciated.

An ideal setup for a e92 Xi would be a 235/265 combo.

18x8.5 +35 to 40 offset w/ a 235/40/18
18x9.5 +33 w/ a 265/30/19

This set up would be a direct bolt on fitment without the need of any modifications of fender or trim.

Rolling diameter is within the recommended sizes for this vehicle. You won't have anything to worry about.

If you have any further questions, feel free to PM me.

If you're having issues bending 17" wheels, keep in mind that 18" wheels will use even lower profile tires which will provide even less protection from rough roads. If the roads are really that bad, you may want to consider sticking with 17".

Agreed on the 17 to 18" issue but shouldn't switching from RFT to GFT help a bit?

Jumping from a RFT to a Non-RFT will definitely soften up the ride if that's what you are referring to.

Were you bending OEM 17" rims? Not sure if switching to non-RFT (but upsizing) will really help with keeping you away from bent rims.

The OEM 17" cast rims are pretty strong.

yeah I am on OEM 17" 185's. Now it looks like the tread off my rears are splitting so I'll have to make a decision sooner. Thanks for the help here.
