Wink help a chicka figure it out! transmission swap =)

hey guys (:

so I'm really tired of my automatic transmission on my 09 n52 (just not as exciting as manual!), so I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on a transmission swap at 100k miles [im currently at 60k, so not too far ahead of me] regarding how it works IF it works and price. any input is appreciated! thanks

It might be more worthwhile to find a low mileage n52 with MT once all of the costs to consider are taken into consideration. The labor and the transmission would cost more than its worth to do to a 100k mile car IMO. Although I haven't costed out the idea to know the exact numbers

It would only be worth it if the transmission actually blew or for whatever reason needed a full replacement. I would say it would cost at least $3k if not more.

Too late for this party ? Lol
A new tranny from tischer bmw is 3000 not including the clutch, lines, pressure plate, etc. It'll run you softly around the 4k to 4.5k on parts alone. Try finding a used one and go that route unless you're stacked on cash... so total you're looking around 6k ish to have it completed and working with all new parts. Worth it? To each their own but I would trade the car in and get one already made 6mt. I'm glad I got mine in stick before I made the horrible decision
Ill be getting a new tranny soon so pm me if you're still looking for more info on the cost

It really is. You can read up all you want about how to please a woman, you can look at all the diagrams in the world, but just like the clitoris, you won't know what the hell an apex is before you actually find it.

:O?! why is that person on your car!? Anyways you'll have better luck with answers posting this on the NA Engine topics and yea it'll be expensive but from what I've read, it is more fun but a bitch in traffic. probably run you around 4.5-5k
