anyone have a broken water pump?

anyone have a broken water pump that came out of there 335. my water pump is still in working condition just has a small crack on the plastic cover where the electric hooks in. if anyone recently did theirs and still has it laying around i will buy the cover off you let me know !

i have mine that i swapped out about 3 weeks ago.
still have the one that died on me in the garage sitting there. i was gonna mess around with it.

true, let me know if you change your mind. how long did your waterpump last for. i got about 30k miles on mine

I like the ingenuity, but I think you'd be better off biting the bullet and installing a new pump, especially if you are paying for the labor. If you're doing it yourself and have the time, maybe it's worth it, but I'm afraid that you'll end up redoing the work in short order.

Lmfao. Great advice to replace a perfectly functioning part cause of a crack in the connector. Smh. Wtf

It's not a crack in the connector, it's a crack in the entire front cover of the waterpump.

OP, I had a crack in the front of mine as well that I belive happened from overtorquing one of the bolts holding the cover to the metal housing from the factory. I bought a new one for $250 from a member on here that gets them at discount. I suggest you do the same because it's a PITA to replace. However, just make sure you pay attention when you tighten the waterpump to holding bracket bolts because there are two types of waterpumps that both work for our cars and one of the designs uses a slightly different flange that is thinner, requiring different bolts or they'll bottom out and crack.

I understand where and what it is.It makes no sense to spend 250$ or anything that high when someone potentially has the cover laying around.
