Did he deserve to be tazed?

I am interested in what people here think. My opinion, he did not deserve it. He shouldn't have been on the field, but just run the guy down and tackle him. Just because you're a fatass does not give you the right to taze someone who has caused no physical harm and is not a physical threat to anyone.

Thanks for the vid. And I mean theoretically he deserved it, but legally, how is that not excessive force. He isn't harming anyone, fatty just can't catch him and gets pissed. I mean I do not agree with running on the field like a moron, but how is using a weapon against an unarmed person who is not a threat to anyone acceptable?

That was a police officer trying to arrest someone for an illegal activity and that person was evading arrest. Pretty simple really. He knew what he was doing was not legal so it really shouldn't be a surprise when there are consequences.

At first I was ticked at the cop. But what if the kid, who looks 30 and not 17 not that it matters, had a gun? He just did his job and has a pretty mean aim on the run too.

+1. People are too fucking sensitive these days when it comes to use of force. He broke the law by trying to evade, he paid an ok price. Hopefully he gets some community service and his parents get slammed with a hefty fine. That'll teach him to try and run from the law.
