Where to get painted plugs for holes drilled for front plate?
I've searched around a bit and found a place that other members have bought from...the downside is that from what they say, you actually have to drill the holes a bit bigger to fit those plugs in.
I'm just wondering if there are any painted plugs out there that can be directly screwed on the already existing drilled holes on the front bumper? Thanks! |

i think the dealer normally puts 1/8inch holes... which are really small. the bumper plugs you get from bumperplugs.com and bimmian require you to drill the hole even larger. do you really want to do that? just go the a hardware store, find some fasteners that dont look to bad, spray paint them the color of your choice and your set.

I have too many holes from the Italian europlates and USAF transport plates that I decided to get a personalized Europlate (Ebay/German) and 3M taped it to cover/hide the discripincies in the front bumper. New Mexico doesn't require front plates, but Washington state does so i'll have to go back to the OEM (Black) plate holder once I PCS up there.

Just keep your New Mexico plates when you PCS. DOn't re register your car. I still have Maryland and VA plates on both of my cars and I am now in CA. As Active Duty you can kep the plates form the last place you PCS'd from or your home of record state |

Yeah you can keep those plates. I am a Maryland resident and have Virginia plates, from the last place I was stationed

I found my solution. I was happy with it before, but I decided to get black/white roundels and the white/blue one on the license plate frame wouldn't match.
I thought about taking it out and taking the plate holder altogether, but I just put some black vinyl pieces over the roundel on the plate frame. I'm happy with the outcome. |
