if you contact Terry at BMS (on the burger tuning website) he can answer all those questions. Also, check out the "other" 335 forum, n54tech.com. I run map 3 on a daily basis and have never dyno'ed it but i'm guessing it's somewhere around 370 hp/torque. However, when I slap some higher octane gas in there and run Map 5 (not Map 7, don't have intercooler or downpipes) I notice a HUGE difference from Map 3.
By the way their customer support is the best I've ever seen in any product ever.

there's a high octane gas station in pasadena, long beach, and corona del mar. it matters if i'm in the LA region or the OC. just so you know, higher octane gas costs around $7-8 bucks a gallon. Even though I live in LA i normally get it at OC and hit up PCH, or sometimes the track (not drag though).

there are really no problems or potential "issues". many owners have had their JB3's for years. The problems come from young, stupid kids running the JB3 on a map 7 without any of the required supplemental parts, i.e. downpipes, intercooler, higher octane gas. if you run a JB3 on map 3 on a daily basis without any supplemental parts, you should never have any problems. to be on the safe side i'd recommend getting a BT tool (scans your CPU for potential thrown codes) to scan your car before you take it into the stealership. i have a BT tool and although I've scanned it multiple times, never had any codes come up. it really unleashes the full potential of the car, i like to think of it is as how BMW should have made it to begin with. as more money comes my may i hope to add a meth kit, intercooler, downpipes, and an upgraded suspension to be able to run the map 7 without damage occasionally.
