Subs?
Anyone here got subwoofers in their car? Whether it's under or trunk subs. I dont know why im craving subs so bad, but I feel like the more I look the more my stock Hifi sounds worse and worse.

I just have the stock subs from the Logic 7 system but I LOVE bass... I used to play in high school so that could be why but whether watching movies or listening to music being able to hear and feel the low end pitches makes a huge difference in the experience. In my previous cars I had a 12in Infinity sub hooked up in the trunk and in a 2000 Mazda 626 and a 2005 Ford Focus it actually sounded pretty good. Even better I'd assume in one of our cars because they're built so much better. If you don't have them I'd highly suggest getting one =)

From the stock subs the only things that rattle are things I've put in the car. Ex: pocket change, cell phone dock and other misc. that may be in my car at the time. I'm not sure what putting a sub in the trunk would change but they're solid cars

I used to have 2 Kicker L5 12's in my trunk. I dyna-matted the whole inside, I had some rattling (license plate) but after i stuck some cardboard behind it, it was great.
I eventually took them out because the box took up my whole trunk! |

i have two 12" subs in my trunk... as mentioned above, it takes up the whole trunk but i plan on making my first fiberglass case when i get back from deployment.
The only thing that rattles is the gas plate. I've since glued the plastic housing to the metal plate which helped out a lot, but it still rattles some. The license plate is nice and snug against the boddy of the car thanks to some foam tape from home depot. Dynamat all in the inside of the trunk and lid. Sounds good though... i'm thinking of upgrading to two Dub7's too... so i'm looking at selling my old setup soon. |

Thanks for the input. I was thinking of just getting a 12 and throwing it in the corner like the Musicar one is. I also heard facing the sub away from the driver makes the trunk rattle more than if its facing the front. Would this just make it less "boomy"?

I have 12in. Kicker
It sounds extremely nice inside the car but no much outside cuz of the rattling my trunk is completely dynamatted so it's not as bad but if ur goin to have a nice car might as well have good sounding music too I took out the ski holder in the back seat and keep the arm rest down to let some of bass out of the trunk
