Thanks man, saw that. Are you going to put your Procede back on and dyno again?

Sloppy, they only gave me 3 stock runs and 3 Dp runs. Once I have a chance to schedule another dyno, I will do the procede run on the car.

Any Update on the PROcede and Downpipe dyno?

I just got the VISHNU Downpipe and will also be ordering a PROcede soon.

Thanks!

Sake,

No not yet, but I will soon because work has been really busy lately. You can't go wrong with the combo. I actually got another package for my 135i as well. Vishnu Downpipe and Procede combo FTW

The procede is easy to install expect the crank sensor... but other than that its really straight forward

Are there any dyno comparisons between stock with Procede tune only vs stock with Procede tune and Vishnu DP?

I see the dyno comparison in this thread between stock vs stock with Vishnu DP and those torque gains are monsterous but I was wondering what the gains are with the Procede tune as well. Can we expect more or less gains when tuned?

First of all, sorry for bumping this old thread! I just wanted to share my review of the Vishnu downpipe, and this seems like a thread that has a lot of views and subscribers.

The Vishnu dp is awesome. It has amazing welds and the overall quality is great. Fitment was perfect. I stopped by ar design in Denver to pick up the downpipe hardware (bolts/lock washers + gaskets) and checked out their n55 downpipe. The quality of their downpipe is insane as well, but I'd say the quality of the 2 pipes is nearly identical, as far as I could tell.

I installed the dp on an N55 2011 335i xdrive. It took exactly 2.5 hours on a lift. A few notes about install:

-We dropped the red exhaust hangers in the rear to give ourselves more room. If you do this, make sure you protect your rear diffuser, as the exhaust tips will touch it. We put some soft cloth in between the tips and the diffuser. Be prepared to smack your head on the midpipes about 500 times. Wear a helmet!

-We did not have to drop the subframe.

-We removed the passenger side wheel to access the turbo v band clamp. With the car on the lift, everything hangs, so that gave us easier access to this bolt.

-We removed engine bay parts to gain access to and unplug the o2 plug wires, which is a necessity. Parts removed include engine cover, wiper cowl pieces, and secondary engine cover. Removing all this afforded easy access to o2 sensor wires. Don't forget to install the new sensors into the pipe before reinstalling

-2 covers underneath the car should be removed as well, as well as unbolting the forward exhaust hanger (self explanatory).

-When removing the stock downpipe, some wiggling/vibrating/shaking is necessary to get it out. I literally grabbed the thing and pulled on it while vibrating/shaking it as fast and hard as I could. It worked quite well and took about 10 seconds to get it completely out.

-The most difficult part of this install was the downpipe vband clamp. However, this is nothing to be intimidated by. The easiest thing to do is to get 2 people. Push the v band clamp up onto the hotside of the turbo. Hold the downpipe in place, completely flush with the hotside. It will take some wiggling, but once it's aligned correctly, you'll feel it kind of go into place and it will feel very flush. This is critical. Once it's perfectly flush, have your buddy grab the clamp and carefully spread it apart and work it over the flange. You'll know if the downpipe and hotside are aligned based on whether or not you are able to thread the clamp bolt back into place. A few tries and some tired arms and you'll get it done, no problem!

Last install note: Based on everything I read on this forum, there was no way I was going to attempt the n55 downpipe install on an xdrive. However, if you take your time, have a lift and a friend, it's really a piece of cake. My buddy and I chatted, took our time, talked with a few shop customers, and we had everything done, car started and checked for leaks in 2.5 hours. NOT BAD! For anyone considering doing this on their own, go for it!

My impressions:
I would say throttle response is extremely improved. Turbo spool is faster and overall smoother. The sound is intoxicating (listen to video below). Just revving the car, you can immediately feel a huge difference in throttle response. There really isn't a noticeable difference of sound in the cabin, unless you are really on the throttle. no drone at any throttle position. I would highly recommend this mod.

I rate this pipe an A+

Thank you Vish!

JD

Wheel off, you can see turbo v band clamp bolt:

Removed rear/red exhaust hangers and let exhaust hang down (use prybar to slip hangers off)

I assume you got an error code in the dashboard after you installing this catless downpipe? Did you get an o2 delete to get rid of this? I talked with a local tuner and they said that they can just turn the o2 off since it has no regulating effect on the engine.

I had JB4 for the majority of my time with this downpipe, so the code was auto deleted. I have since removed/sold the JB4 and still have the downpipe. It does throw a code after about 50 miles and it stays on. I cannot speak to canceling out the rear O2 sensor or deleting this code outside of the fact that it is auto deleted with JB4.
