If Turnadot continues through the canal system without stopping (sometimes they stop in Gatun Lake for 1-2 hours), she should reach the Centennial Bridge camera around noon (PST), give or take an hour. If you see her coming under the Centennial Bridge, stay tuned because the Mira Flores locks are right around the corner.

Once she is no longer in the Centennial Bridge camera view, switch to the Mira Flores camera and you should see her in the distance. It will take about 1-1/2 hours for her to go through the Mira Flores Locks system. Once she gets into the step down lock closest to the camera, switch over to the high-res camera view. It is a great view.

I won't be home at that time to capture photos. If anyone is online and watching her live, post some pictures.

Very cool spn, I'll watch for her at the bridge. If I can figure out how to post photos I will.

I'm watching, but she's not there yet. I think I've got the photo thing worked out.

I am home again. I see her on AIS. She should be at the bridge at any time.

Here is AIS. Now this can be delayed up to an hour, so it is rather old news.

She certainly is moving through slowly today. She must have sat in Gatun Lakes for an hour or two.

We should see her any minute at the bridge.

Spn, are you Navy? How do you have access to AIS? By the way what is that an acronym for?

LOL, no. I am a mom to teen-aged boys, believe it or not. I grew up with a bunch of older brothers (Marines, actually) who are all car nuts, so I like nice cars, too. I also enjoy tracking these ships. It is like a treasure hunt.

I have a Mercedes SL63 AMG on order, my passion in life. My car went into production this past week, so I am just gearing up to track her in a few weeks. I have tracked lots of cars (one was a euro delivery for myself), mostly bimmers because the MB forums don't have tracking threads. And, these ships from Bremerhaven all carry MBs and BMWs onboard, approximately 5000 of them on each ship.

AIS stands for automatic identification system and all ships over a certain tonnage are required to have one. Here is the web site aislive.com. You can try for a free 2-week subscription. Sometimes you can get one, sometimes not.

Switch over to the Mira Flores camera. Don't forget to open up a second browser for the high-res mira flores camera. You can watch both cameras. The regular camera view is not good right now. I emailed them and asked them to switch the camera to Turnadot. They may, or may not, do it. They usually are good to move the camera. She is actually far away from this lock. If you look on the high res view, you can see a clump in the distance. That is where Turnadot is right now.

No, 525 isn't enough for me. I tried to talk my husband into letting me have the SL65 at 625 horses. LOL. Actually, the SL63 will probably really shock me and be plenty. I have a SL500 right now, but my new car will be so much faster. It has an all-new AMG-built engine. It is so funny that I have this obsession for cars, I know. Blame it on my family.

If you look on the high-res camera, you can see her white upper part in the distance. She is just reaching the first step down of three step downs for this lock.

Actually, there are only two step downs at MiraFlores. She's just reaching the first one and the camera location is at the second one.
