I really wanna do this soon. However, is it really hard to remove all the wrap when I want to turn it back to stock?

Thanks a lot for this DYI. Very happy I decided to take a shot because it ended up being much easier then I thought it was going to be. I think doing my molding in matte black was worse then this.

Thanks for sharing Soni! Looks like everybody's doing this mod so why not. I'm wrapping my trim as soon as I get my leather CF.

I wrapped my trim today but messed on cutting the cloth and ended up having trims that have different patterns. LOL. So I ended up running out of cloth and placed another order to Long.

I love the new trim though. My black on black interior looks great.

Now I know why people are charging big bucks for this. Wrapping is not easy for sure.

Step 3 mentioned make sure you line up the wave with same direction...
not so hard...just time consuming thats why vendor is charging big bucks

Yep, I know. I thought I checked the wave direction but I still managed to mess it up.

A couple of pics of the center console.

I tried to replicate the direction of the actual Carbon leather trim from the M3s, prior to selling it.

I did this last weekend, my car still smells like the super 77 glue, but it looks good!!! Thanks Soni for the DIY, it really encouraged me to try it, and overall I give myself a 8.5/10 You can't tell I did the work, till you look closely. LOL

Here are a few pics.

Hi - is this reversible on the plastic bits too? I'm thinking about doing just the trim on the inside of the steering wheel and the shift selector on the center console. Not sure how they would stand up to the adhesive/alcohol without the protective finish.

thanks!

it shouldn't be a problem...I have my wrapped trims on for more than a year and a half already and not a sign of bubbleling, fading or even coming off.
