SOLVED: Problem with new M Sport Plus leather interior

Swapped my interior for an m Sport Plus interior but when I collected the interior there was a brown fade on the inner bolster as pictured (which wasn't pictured in ad) What's the best thing to do?

Already tried leather cleaner and balm but the color comes back. Help much appreciated as I'm quite clueless on what to do now

Wow I've never seen a fade that bad. Have you tried leather dye? If not I'm sure you can now get leather spray paint which will sort it.

Looks like the dye / sealant has failed on that patch. You're going to have to get it re-coloured unfortunately.

I like the blue offset stitching though - very nice!!

I would give Steve a call here:
http://www.leathercaredirect.com/

2 mins off the M6 at woolston in Warrington so not too far from you. I had some work done on BMW Z3M seats that I put in my Z3 and the price was very reasonable, they are super knowledgeable. If you send them your picture I'm sure he can advise and give you a quote.

If you know the exact trim code for the leather (most likely will be dakota black) you can try getting the paint or dye in the same colour and treating.
Should do the trick

I had the same on my oyster cream leather (leather was worn rather than fade)but got some paint and balms etc and done full restoration and it done the trick. Still holding up fine for now.

Thanks for the info everyone, I've spoke to Steve and waiting for a quote & I won't try to do it myself because I have zero knowledge in that field & thanks Andy, it'll be difficult to treat because of that Stitching!

If worst case scenario the panel needs replacing drop me a pm as I also know a fab guy for that also, he'd match the leather and stitch it in the same blue for you too. He's also only 5mins from the M6 nr Warrington. He does Astons, Ferrari etc. His work is fantastic.

Will do buddy if that's the worst case scenario, I hope it's just a dye job otherwise I'll probably end up paying for the fix as much as I've paid for the interior

No worries. What's the difference between M sport plus and standard M sport other than the stitching?

UPDATE: found a local leather specialist who treats leather. Process will take a week so I'll be picking the seat up next Monday. Cost me under £££ and he said that he will mask the blue stitching with thin masking tape.

By the way are my seats heated? See picture below:

Holy... it looks like someone used the gliptone twins for too long and stripped the colour. The panel doesn't need replacing!!! Get a colour matched leather dye from an upholstery or leather repair specialist.

Thanks buddy, the seat is getting treated at the moment and I'll be picking it up on Monday so I'll post the results and the contact details of the person who did it for me

I know very little compared to others on here but I have the sport plus model and I am sure they came with heated seats as standard.
