At this stage I am going to stick with my original exhaust unit I see “before” and “after” dyno’s. The trouble is a new exhaust is very visible so the performance gain would have to be significant for me to make the change.

What is the Motorsport LSD?? Quaife, Drexler or something else? I’m in the middle of choosing a new diff myself.

I was going to ask you Wopalx. Does you car have the tactile iDrive knob or click iDrive knob? There was a change around your build time.

Cheers.

You've only met me once mate, I normally reserve this sort of thing for the second date

I think it clicks, not 100% sure what the difference would be

I did not realise that a deal would do this for you? Sydney BMW refuse to do anything that is not BMW genuine, even to the point of not wanting to hard wire in my road angel.
My dealer has a motorsport/racing company on the side. I wouldn't think they would do any "extra's" at the dealership. They're pretty anal about that. None of the dealers want to get in the shit from Stutgart!

Bavaria right?

Extremely true, Alto's in Sydney have lost their dealerships because of exactly what you've mentioned. Its one of the key reasons they'll be gone in November.

Yeah its entirely true. Happens in November from memory. Its common knowledge in the BM community, all the independants have known about it for some time.

Met a guy yesterday from Trivett's at Wakefield when I was down there with a bunch of mates hooning around in the GTR, I think his name was Peter nice guy, may go there as that's where another mate takes his BMWs.

... and it's only because they did some non-factory mods?

Cheers.

Yeah, and apparently BMW Aust keeps putting systems in place and changing them which costs the dealerships money to put the systems in place. I wouldn't read into that being the sole or main cause of them no longer doing it, more the parts side of it.

But, thats just me.

WOW - given the millions of dollars invested by George in building the showrooms and equipping the workshops I find it difficult to believe that he couldn't work something out with BMW.

Mind you, none of this is from the guy at Trivett's just wanted to clear that up. It's not one guy from one dealership talking about another dealership. And I wouldn't want it to come back on the guy I met and drop him in it, so just wanted to clear that up.

Everything I've heard is from outside of BMW.
