Has anyone purchased a Qwik Valve for their 2006 , E90xi ? I'm interested in one , but want to order the correct one, hopefully a member is already using one and can let us know.

I haven't tried it but having a valve sticking out from my oil pan seems like a recipe for disaster if it ever gets hit or snagged.

Chances are if you snag that tiny valve then you're probably smashing your oil pan as well.

I have a 2007 e90 335i and have one installed. Changing the oil is a snap and very little mess.

Here is what I bought:

F109N: Nipple Type Oil Drain Valve 12mm-1.5 - The N-type Fumoto Oil Drain Valve with "Nipple" to accept hose.

ADP-109: ADAPTER 12mm-1.5 - Some oil pans are designed with recessed drain hole which may prevent the valve from being installed properly.

3/8" ID x 3FT Clear Vinyl Tubing - 3/8" ID x 3FT Clear Vinyl Tubing For All F-series N & L-Type Valve including F101N, F103N, F104N, F105N, F106N, F107N, F10...

My only concern with installing this type of valve is the clearance between it when installed and the engine belly pan cover. I looked at the drawing of the oil pan on the 325xi and it looks like the drain plug screws into the pan from the bottom like the 325i does. You should make sure the valve body will not interfere with the belly pan before you buy it.

Also, it will probably double the length of the drain time.
