Need a good Wheel Repair Shop near Faifield, CT
Can someone recommend a wheel repair shop that is relatively close to Fairfield, CT? I need to get some curb rash repaired. Did a search but didn't find any threads specific to CT shops.

check out Alloy Wheel Repair in Danbury. I've probably had 7 or 8 wheels repaired there and they do great work for a reasonable price.

Know a mobile guy in Fairfield Area
He normally charges 140 a wheel though, which I thought was alot. He is really good though. He wanted to strip the wheel and repaint\clear but I decided to wait till they fix more of the roads.

Wondered if there any additional recommendations for wheel repair in Fairfield county, CT?
Also, any tire shop recommendations to replace and balance tires (that one has bought elsewhere)? |

wheel repair
it looks like these guys are good from your experience. Need a 20 inch wheel repaired on a 2011 jeep grand cherokee. just some curb rash which is such an eyesore.
They say the turnaround time is 1 hour. Can someome please educate me on this? I was always under the impression, that repairing a wheel is a huge process. Removing the tire, stripping down the wheel, repainting, letting the paint dry, remounting the tire, balancing.... im thinking to myself...how can this all take an hour? additionally, this is a mobile service? Do they have all the necessary equipment in a truck? doesnt the wheel need time for the paint to dry too? Hopefully the refinished work wont peel overtime.... sorry, i just cant visualize that a wheel can be repaired in one hour.  Quote:

I had Alloy Wheel Repair repaint the wheels for my wife's MCS. They did a terrible job! Brought the bare rims in, asked them to sandblast off all the old paint, paint the rims, clear coat inside and outside, then install new valve stems,and then mount new snows( which I bought from them). They mounted the tires first , masked over the old valve stems,didn't even clean the inside,( never mind blasting off old paint), then painted. The tires are full of over spray! Crap job don't use them. Now I'm looking for some where else in western or central CT. Any recommendations?
