Bad news for me... Looking for shop while here in NY

Any recommended shops in NY? Preferrably the Long Island area. Came up for thanksgiving, and hit a massive pothole on Belt PKWY. Upon impact, i heard something fall from the driver side rear and saw it bouncing in the road. Even worse, there weren't any emergency pull off areas for another 4+ miles of driving. Now i have constant knocking coming from the rear driver side. It was rattling, but then heard something else fall off. Im guessing whatever was rattling broke completely off and after a few more bumps just fell.

The closer to LI the better. Looking to get to a shop tomorrow if possible. So much for my vacation... :/

Road on the Belt sucks, the middle lane seems to be a bit better. I hope you get your problem fixed soon.

Well they finally have been repaving it so it is a lot smoother East Bound, West Bound is just a mess.

I remember in October, East Bound in the left lane, they had a one of those large circular orange "cones" (not a cone) in the left lane on the side but the thing is so big it was in the way! Also a big board in the road! I was going 75, had to swerve from the cone and then hit the board and got some air, landed and swerved some more but recovered, I was FURIOUS! I couldn't believe they expect cars in the left lane to just go over a board at highway speeds!

Goodluck with your repair though man!

You know what's the best part? Right before the unpaved road they had a sign saying "End construction".
