I do know that COBB stage 1 was fantastic! Blew all pre conceptions of Flash vs Piggy back out the window.. .

I wouldn't be surprised to see Stage 2 pushing 410 - 420WHP on 94 octane * WITHOUT METH *

My stage 1 COBB would pull on a JB4 - map 2 when the user just had a DCI..
Once I install the rest of my bolt ons I'll run him again and see how it is

Just sucks that it will take so long! In the end, I know it will be worth it... COBB is a fabulous tune!
410-420 on their dyno where they dynoed stage 1? no way, look at their baseline...on a higher reading dyno, sure ...you seem to think there's some magic in tuning this car?? lol given their baseline and stage 1 numbers on the dyno they used for stage 1, stage 2 can't be more than 380-ish...they'll raise load which will raise boost about 2-3psi psi from where it is now and raise timing a bit probably maybe 1-2 deg...with proper fuel that's an extra 30-45whp on top of what they made in stage 1...

but no doubt, if its as good as stage 1 then stage 2 will also be a great tune...

Well, basing that FBO vehicles are reading 350ish on a dynojet while having the draw back of the vehicle still trying to hit COBB's stage 1 load... I'm sure stage 2 will be well over 400.

After all, if that 350whp on the dynojet was achieved by the turbo's hitting a peak boost of 13ish PSI we should see some great numbers when they tweak it back up to 16.. I don't even hit 14PSI any more to achieve my load and that was just my straight pipes... Again I will log once I finish my FBO.

You should definitely have no problems hitting 400 hp with fbo running with cobb stage 1. My friend dynoed on a dynojet completely bone stock outside of the cobb and dynoed 360 wheel torque and 320 whp SAE Corrected.

Not a chance. DPs and FMIC are not worth 80 HP, especially with a conservative tune.

That is a little flawed... Issue is COBB AP was designed to hit a certain load * around 400bhp *
Adding modifications do not increase hp, they only allow you to achieve the load faster. We need COBB stage 2 to see benefits!
Mind you, COBB stock dyno's at about 320. COBB with FBO dyno's around 350. Not sure how that works yet... Still not taking full advantage of bolt ons though.

I know they aren't worth 80 HP. I'm also including intake, exhaust, as well as a meth kit.

And again, with those additions you will not hit 400 rwhp.

You will need stage 2, ATR, or Protune to take full advantage of FBO and Meth.

Uninstalled COBB and took my car for a ride. Dont really like to lose of power, but i noticed couple of things. Stock exhaust sounds more throatier without cobb. Also, i was getting rattling noise (while accelerating) from the exhaust which is also gone since I uninstalled cobb. BTW I had 93 octane 2.02 std map. Any thoughts???

Go research what the tune does with your wastegates to produce the extra boost.

Less boost = louder

Not sure... but the last I heard was something like Stage 2 requires intercooler, and Stage 2+ requires intercooler and downpipes. Or maybe it was the other way around.

Willing to bet you have the latest software update which opens the wastegates to prevent rattling.

From reading another members post he said that Stage 2 was going to have two different settings. Once requiring a turboback exhaust and the other requiring FMIC and turboback.

If I have a Cobb AP for a Subaru STI, would I be able to download the BMW software on it? Or do I have to purchase a whole new AP?

Might be a silly question but I would appreciate an answer from you guys.
