E92 Tyre Pressure Loss warning - how to reset

Hi guys,

I had the Tyre Pressure Loss warning when I was driving yesterday, checked it roughly and nothing's obvious, so I drove to petrol station to check properly and found my rear left is only 23psi and the rest are still okay.

So I filled it, checked it again today and it's still fine, so I assume it's all good for no until I have the time to bring the car to tyre shot to get it checked for punctures.

Tried the reset instruction (found instructions here http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/tech...Monitoring.htm)

I can NOT find the 'reset' on the bottom screen

I can see the tyre warning icon on the top screen but no reset option on bottom screen, did I miss a step?

Cheers.

Does your car have iDrive?

Also it may not be a puncture, could be a small crack inside the rim

Yes, u can reset the tire pressure via idrive. It's done thru the vehicle settings menu by pressing the idrive controller.

If it's not too much to ask, can you please let me know the steps to get rid of the warning via iDrive?

by memory you go under info in the idrive, then vehicle settings, tyre pressure and then reset.

Also if i recall correctly you have to reset whilst you're driving the car so it can recalibrate.

Pretty much what DR-JEKL had said. To begin the reset, your vehicle will have to be stationary first (duh! ), once u have resetted it, then u just drive off slowly to have the tpms finish its recalibration. It should say "Active" within the TPMS screen that once the tpms had finished its recalibration.

Mine is 325i with iDrive.
I have done mine via iDrive menu with my car stationary throughout the whole process.
Hope that helps.
