Tint Price, Recommendations

What's the approximate cost to tint?
Any suggestions on what type of tints to get?

im in NY (Long Island), so any sugguestions on where to go, etc?

Best tint i've had applied is huper optik, ceramic tint. pricey though, 450 with a lifetime guarantee. Getting the 335i done with it tomorrow morning, my third card with Huper Optik. The only certified installer in the tri state area is Tom from the Art Of Tint, great guy.

Damn... that's a lot more than i expected... I had great tints on my rx8, and it cost $250. I was looking to spend something in that area.

Hey Orient do you have comfort access? if so does your HO tint mess it up at all?

Hmm... you dont want to use any ceramic tint because it messes your comfort access and nav. Range 300 - 350 should do fine for tint

Metallic tint is the way to go. I got Llumar on my car. 35% all around and it looks absolutely fantastic.

I thought it was metalic that messes with CA not ceramic?

The first things i checked after i got my tint in place was:

CA - Works fine
FM - reception is great
AM - reception is great
Navi - No problems
Cell phone - signal strength is good.

you can get a "ok" tint for as low as $150

i got my tints done for 130 all around. did it in a guys garage so it was kinda shady but the tints were amazing. send me a msg and il give u the guys contact number

i have comfort access, car is being tinted right now, so i don't know yet. my tinter does work for BMW of Manhattan and said its never been a problem

lol... i'd rather pay more for a tinter that has a good rep than less for a noname tinter... i'd say 330$ and less would be a good price... or 60 per window.

my last tint cost me $80...3yrs ago...wutsup w/ the prices? I got an OK tint, pretty good and no decolorizing or problems for the 3yrs I had it....This was on a TSX.

Anything in that range nowadays? Or is it that BMW owners tends to want to pay more? I don't want to upgrade my expenses just because I switch to a bimmer.

Light tint on dark cars.

Darker tint on light cars.

Looks best imo.

You cant go wrong with like a 35% if you dont wanna get pulled over and your more on the conservative side. It looks classy and most of all it doesnt look cheap.
