Opinions on a slow leak

Got in the car for a quick trip yesterday and the TPMS warning came on. Went back to the wheel to measure pressure and sure enough, it was down to something like 29psi (I usually keep my wheels at 38F/44R, I actually kind of like a stiffer ride). I thought, huh, that's odd, but then I looked a bit closer and saw this guy:

I figured, eh, maybe it's a coincidence, I'll just pump it back up and measure tomorrow, sure enough it looks like it's losing maybe as much as 1-2psi per day. I'll have to measure tomorrow to get a bit more accuracy, but it certainly seems like an actual problem.

So assuming that's the case, and it's due to this little plug, any suggestions on how to go about fixing it? The tires have piles of tread, and I was kind of looking forward to replacing all 4 when the time came, so I'm not terribly keen on the idea of dropping 400 smackers to replace the rears. Think it's worthy of a potential patch job?

Take it to a tire shop and get it checked out. Can be due to a bent wheel if its leaking but more likely than not its that plug. Get it plugged or patched.

Do this first pump it up and spray some water on it. If it bubbles thats your leak! If it doesn't don't rule it out because it maybe it it's just a small leak. I had a plug that went bad and didn't bubble. I kept filling air and i was just fed up.

I took it to discount tire and they plugged it again for free ( They plug for free) and never happened again. They will try to sell you all sorts of shit but just say thanks and move on lol

That tire should be repairable. Just take your car to a reputable tire shop and they will be able to plug or patch it for you.

Just went out to the car this morning after some rain and it happened that the plug was oriented dead-center of the contact patch against the ground. It was squeaking like a baby bird as air slowly leaked out, so sure enough, that's it.

I'll have to find a tire place today, thanks guys!
