Personal opinions of Stage 2+ Hybrid Fuel pump kit
I need to purchase a fuel pump soon so I can get properly tuned and I was thinking of going with the Precision stage 2 hybrid since it offers the flexibility to add a second pump when ready for it.
Is anyone using it at the moment? Can you share your personal experience with it? How was the install? Easy? Difficult? Am I better off buying a pre-assembled stage 3 pump? Link: http://www.precisionraceworks.com/in...&product_id=71 |

I have used 2 diffrent companies when it came to fueling. And both of them have exactly the same install guides and close to the same tests and numbers. Customer service and experience is slightly different between the two.
Now for precision I have never tried there fuel pump, but I do have there inlets and they rock. Very easy to install, high quality, and support was great. Been 1.5yr now and no issues at all with them. I'm pretty confident that their fuel pumps are just as good |

I think the pumps just came out but I can tell you Precision has awesome customer service. They forgot to send me something small, I emailed them about it and they shipped it out now questions asked. I would have no problem giving them more of my money.
Fuel It has good customer service too but it's pretty expensive for what you get, especially the new bucket less option

anyone using the bucketless pump offered by Fuel it yet?
Vendor claims 25% more flow, which would satisfy my horsepower needs if it can handle close to 600hp. Last edited by dannyboy172; 01-03-2017 at 02:38 PM.. |

Yes 25% more flow. However, if you are prone to running it hard with a low fuel, you should consider the fuel filter upgrade option available with the kit. |

The bucket has a purpose, I would not remove it for fuel starvation concern. However, I'm a bit biased because this was a common issue on my turbo Silverado and modifying the bucket for a larger fuel pump.

The fuel filter upgrade also pushes the price into the stage 3 range. $300 for a filter? lol
I think right now the precision race works offering it hard to beat. The pumps are only $100 to the public, I would be willing to bet the companies are getting them for $80-90. Way too much BMW tax going on in fuel pump upgrades, especially with the bucket less offering. Someone needs to machine a dual pump hanger for our cars. If I had a little bit more time I would do it.

"Here's our new fuel pump that flows 25% more. But if you want to run less than 1/4 tank you will need our $300 filter sock or else you will starve your fuel pump under hard acceleration, braking, and cornering"
No thanks.

At least fuel its offering new stuff.
It's cheap insurance to buy of fuel it because you know it will work, and in case something goes wrong you know they will sort it out. I've only ever bought one thing if him about 3 years ago or more. I'm probably going to get the new bucket less option and pay a premium for extra flow |

I read on the other forum that the standard filter is fine at normal driving at what looks like 20 miles to empty? I do not run my tank that low in general, seem like the added flow makes it worth it in my eyes.

http://www.precisionraceworks.com/in...&product_id=71 The reason the bucketless option was tempting for me is because I would be able to get away with only 1 pump since I will never go past 600hp, as long as the pump with the extra flow can support it. |
