So this was my first attempt at correcting my paint, still learning as I am a big DIYer but with all the threads here I feel I've learned a lot.
Items used were
Dawn Dish soap
Meguiars Clay Bar
Orbital Polisher (Harbor Freight)
Meguiars Ultimate Compound- Yellow Polish pad
Dual Action Orbital Polisher (Harbor Freight)
Meguiars Ultimate Polish- Yellow Polish pad
Meguiars Ultumate Wax- Brown Finish Pad

Here are the pics taken from DroidMax Cell. I didn't know how to separate the pictures to add subtexts. Just remember this was my first attempt, I will be repeating the process till I get it down.

Good work! On the deeper scratches, I like to take it a step further with sanding paper and Meguiars 105 Ultra Cut Compound. Below is a great guide for the process. (You don't need their products, which they are pushing). Good luck!

Nice work, I would worry about the finish with the Megs polish though. I was never able to get it to finish down well on bmw paint. You might want to buy some menzerna sf4000 to do a final polish with

I am kind of scared of using sand paper but after looking at the outcome it looks hella sweet

Yeah I've been looking at some higher quality waxes for sure and menzerna was on my list. I plan on trying to remove the fine swirls that are still visible under lighting, friends say that they don't see much but after spending a few hours working on it I've been kind of meticulous with the outcome. I see every fine swirl and scratch

Yeah thats probably micro swirling from the other polish. The Menzerna SF400 polish should fix it

I have black too, and while it looks alot better, there are still about 10% scrathes left, that i am not able to get out no matter how many times I buff it! They are not deep or large scratches, same size that has come out before. Seems that once it got to the point in your picture number 8-9 I can never get it better than that. You seem to have been able to get it all but perfect!

Am I not using hard enough pads/polish? Do I just need to do it again and again? Or am I not spending enough time on the finer polishes?

Thanks I appreciate it !! As I am new to this I don't want to steer you in the wrong direction but im finding that the product you use has to do greatly with the outcome, make sure your using the correct pads with the correct solution. I did do a wash that consisted heavily of Dish soap to remove any oils and waxes prior to doing my correction. I totally forgot to Add I used Meguiars Clay Bar to get rid of any deposits embedded in the paint left after the dish soap wash and washed it again after claying it.
