Guys, will be dropping off Ralf tomorrow at Wagonwork (Crystal City, VA) for repair of bumper scratch/scuff. The thing is, I might be without him for up to 5 days not including weekend so I hope the LUX install doesn't happen this weekend as I will not be able to attend But if it needs to go forth, so be it.

By the way, I've heard good things about wagonwork (good but expensive), I hope they'd do a good job on Ralf. In the meanwhile, I think Geico will be hooking me up with either a Taurus or Impala

On another note the Italy vs USA, Brazil vs Australia and France vs S Korea world cup game is this weekend...

I also hope its not this weekend. I can do it, but would prefer next... We should certainly have the sets by then. Can we tentatively say next weekend???

By the way Donny, real football doesnt start until August with the preseason

AJ,

Next weekend will be great I'll be back from my trip down to Orlando, Saturday morning, so we can hook up in the afternoon/evening or Sunday. Hope the others wouldn't mind putting it off a couple more days.

We should have the long-awaited LUX rings by then.

And I still say football should be the game where the foot is used most of the time

Bav19, How 'bout Big Ben bashing his head against the windshield in the 'burg? Hope he's ready for some ball by Aug. Cowher is having a caniption (sp?) (I can see the jaw protruding, spit flying out of his mouth, etc) because Ben probably didn't have his bloody (no pun intended) helmet on. BTW, we need to hook up at some point. I'm out here in Ashburn and have no problem meeting up somewhere. I missed the last DC gig you all put together at Passport. Let me know. Cheers.

ummm, I have to chime in here. You have to run in basketball and baseball too but I wouln't call it a foot sport. Although I like Football the ball is generally in contact with the HAND whereas in soccer the ball is generally in contact with the FOOT. Sorry Bav...

It does come in contact with the foot multiple times during the game, unlike basketball and baseball...

ok - so I'm going to go with your train of logic. The ball does come in contact with the foot of one individual so in Soccer the ball comes in contact with the hands multiple times durring the game (goalie) so does that make it Handball? Oooh or better yet, the ball comes in contact with the head of many players durring a soccer game. So that settles it - Football can be the only football and soccer can be renamed Headball!

sorry, once in a while I enjoy giving someone a hard time for no apparent reason...

Hey AJ,

F?ck the Steelers!!!!!

As for Benny-Ben, even though I don't wish for pain on anyone (except maybe my boss once in a while) I'll be so glad if Ben is out this season.

The sport of soccer (or futbol) is played by emotionally and physically fragile people. There are not many sports where the athletes must be good actors as well... If faking injuries is a regular part of the game, then it must be played by a bunch of pansies...

I admit that I laugh when some players barely get clipped and they fall down in a fetal position and grab their legs, but that's minimal.

Did you have bad soccer experiences or something?

You'd probably like Rugby.

I'm 2 blocks from the fire station on Cherry Lane.

The airplanes are from the 94th squadron restaurant in College Park.
That place is about a block or two from the College Park metro station.

One of those places not too many people know of.
There is a bike path nearby and that is how I found it.

A nice place to check out because of the WWII theme.

Changing subject...
AJ, I got an unexpected call today... M-brake handle is here!!!
I picked it up this afternoon.
Guess you should get yours soon if not already.

Guess you just pull the old one out?

I'll be installing it and the shifter this weekend between soccer matches. hehe

So Shim or other soccer fans:
US vs Italy... score?
I like the US team but Italy will win.

So its looking like next weekend for the install... we all still in for next sat???

I never said I liked soccer. Just that Football is a pretty stupid name for our version.
